This phone is expected to fold inwards on both sides, which could mean better protection for the screen.

Samsung might be stepping into new foldable territory with something pretty exciting — its very first tri-fold smartphone. Yes, you read that right. A foldable phone that folds not once but twice!

Samsung has not officially confirmed all of the details yet, but a new leak is letting us know what to expect. Digital Chat Station is a well known tipster, and has also hinted that the phone could be called the Galaxy G Fold and essentially unfold into a 9.9-inch display. It’s a little smaller than Huawei’s Mate XT (10.2in screen), but Samsung seems to be emphasising smart design over screen size.

What’s interesting is that, unlike Huawei’s outward folding Mate XT, this phone is expected to fold inwards on both sides. This could mean better protection for the screen, especially when it’s in your pocket or bag. It might also help with the overall durability, which has been a concern for foldable phones.

When it comes to charging, the leaks say it may come with charging speeds up to 23W to 24W. It’s not exactly lightning fast, especially when some phones today provide 200W charging. However, it may be a trade off for improved battery health or design constraints.

As for the price? Well, don’t expect it to be cheap. If the rumours are right, it could cost around $2,800 (that’s roughly ₹2.38 lakh), making it one of Samsung’s most premium devices yet.

Launch dates are still unclear, but early 2026 seems likely, possibly starting in select markets like China and South Korea before going global.

Samsung might share more at its upcoming Unpacked event, where the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 are also expected.

At last, all we can do now is just sit, relax and wait for this new and innovative tech to come to life!
