Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Leak Hints At Major Camera Upgrades; Details Here

One of the best camera phones in the market today is the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. And if rumours are true, its successor, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, just might take that to a whole new level with some substantial camera upgrades.

Tipster @SiddhantGeek indicates that Samsung is bringing back the variable aperture, which means the camera can choose how much light it is capturing. This could definitely help in low-light photography and with depth of field. If the leak's accurate, the S26 Ultra could hit f/1.4 – f/4.0, considerably more control than any other Samsung ultra zoom up to now.

The leak also revealed that Samsung is upgrading the telephoto lenses. A 50MP 3.5x zoom camera could replace the 10MP 3x zoom sensor, and the second telephoto lens might address a 50MP 8x zoom with a sensor. This would mean sharper images and more crisper zoom quality without losing the details.

These upgrades seem exciting, but be careful. The source of the leak doesn’t have a strong track record, and even they seem unsure about the information. Known leaker Ice Universe has also mentioned similar rumours, although he hasn’t confirmed them.

Typically, Samsung tends to make small upgrades to its flagship cameras each year instead of big changes all at once. As such, we shouldn't expect to get all three upgrades in one generation.

Take this news with a grain of salt for now, but if even any part of this becomes true, the Galaxy S26 Ultra could be a real game-changer.
