Rockstar Games has announced a new update for GTA Online, introducing the Community Race Series and a Combat Series.

The GTA Online Race Series will showcase player-created tracks, allowing users to make a seamless transition between racing challenges, Rockstar Games said in a blog post on Aug. 6.

The update, launched on Aug. 7, will keep racing lobbies organised, allowing players to move smoothly from one race to another without needing to exit and rejoin different sessions.

Following this, the company also plans to launch an upcoming online combat series. This will feature user-generated Deathmatches, King of the Hill and Survival modes. Rockstar is also rolling out new tools to help players design jobs more easily.

Featured creators will also receive exclusive in-game rewards. To celebrate the players, Rockstar is rewarding all featured creators in the Community Series (both past or present) with an exclusive in-game item: the R* Community Series Varsity Jacket.

“Each Job featured in the Community Series is the result of creativity, ingenuity, and technical skill. In recognition of those talents, each Creator featured in any Community Series (including any previously featured Creators) will be gifted the new and extremely rare R* Community Series Varsity Jacket,” Rockstar Games said in its new blog post.

Eligible creators will be able to claim this jacket by visiting any clothing customization location in-game. To get it, players will need to select the ‘Bomber jackets' option after clicking on the ‘Tops’ button on the screen. Then the players need to choose ‘R Community Series Varsity’.

Rockstar Games has also provided guidelines for players aiming to get their content highlighted.

How to Get Featured in GTA Online: Step-by-Step Guide for Creators

1. Be Original: Create unique Jobs that don’t copy existing ones. Avoid relying on references to movies, shows, or other media.

2. Keep Gameplay Fast and Focused: Design your Job to be tight, well-paced, and action-packed. Engaging content will have higher chances of getting featured.

3. Use Tools Properly: Stick to the intended use of Rockstar Creator tools. The company suggests avoiding any glitches, workarounds, or exploits.

4. Balance the Competition: For Races, it is recommended to lock the vehicle selection to one type to ensure fairness for all players.

Rockstar Games has also introduced new features in its Creator Tool for an enhanced experience. Creators can now adjust prep time between waves in modes like Survival and King of the Hill. Features have also been upgraded to ensure better gameplay balance.

Creators can now set enemy squads as Zombies in the Survival Creator. Rockstar has also added new ambient effects, like Halloween themes and snowy weather.
