OnePlus Set To Launch Ace 5 Racing, Ace 5 Ultra In China Next Week With Powerful MediaTek Chips
OnePlus will introduce Taiwan-based MediaTek's Dimensity 9400e SoC chipset in the Ace 5 Racing model.

Premium smartphone maker OnePlus is expected to launch two new handsets, Ace 5 Racing and Ace 5 Ultra, next week. Aimed at attracting gamers, OnePlus will launch these new models with enhanced, latest processors. These models are scheduled to be launched exclusively in the Chinese market.
While the company has not shared an official date for the launch, a GSMArena report said that it would be unveiled next week. Notably, OnePlus will introduce Taiwan-based MediaTek's Dimensity 9400e SoC chipset in Ace 5 Racing, which is the latest in the market and was launched on Wednesday. The Ace 5 Ultra will go with the Dimensity 9400+, which promises “unmatched” gaming and app capabilities. Dimensity 9400+ is the highest-end chip in the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 family.
Additional features on the models include a 120 Hz refresh rate screen. Adopted by many models this year, this feature is aimed at giving a smooth motion and a more responsive experience. Actions like gaming and scrolling are expected to significantly improve with an enhanced frame rate. GSMArena reported that the Ace 5 Racing's display is billed as 1080p, while the Ace 5 Ultra will get a "1.5K" panel instead.
Earlier, speculations emerged that the Ace 5 Racing model could be introduced with a 6.77-inch flat LTPS OLED screen. There are also reports that it may have a 50 MP main camera with a dual rear camera setup. Unconfirmed reports also suggest that the selfie camera might be 16 MP. The company has also focused on providing enhanced battery capacity with 7,000 mAh power. Moreover, the model will likely come with 80W wired charging support for superfast charging capabilities.
The report added that Ace 5 Ultra will likely have a 6.83-inch flat LTPS OLED screen. It may come with 16GB of RAM and a 7,000 mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging, aimed at impressing gamers. The two models may have an identical camera setup.
