Nothing Phone 3 Glyph Interface Killed — Check Features, Price, Launch Timeline
The glyph interface is a collection of LED lights on the rear of the phone that illuminate to show notifications, incoming calls, and battery life.

Nothing is anticipated to launch its first flagship smartphone, Nothing Phone 3, in July. To build excitement for the launch, Nothing has begun to tease details around it. A number of leaks about the smartphone have begun to surface as the launch draws near. However, the latest one may come as a surprise to many users.
According to a tweet Nothing made on X (formerly Twitter), the Nothing Phone 3 might not have the glyph interface on the back panel. Nothing phones are known for their signature glyph interface, drawing many smartphone lovers with the unique design.
Nothing ‘Killed The Glyph Interface’
In a post on X, Nothing shares a short video, with a caption to go along: “We killed the Glyph Interface.” The feature’s removal is hinted to in the video itself.
The British consumer electronics maker, led by Carl Pei, is well-known for its creative and Red Dot-winning Nothing phone design. One of the main elements is the glyph interface, which has been part of the design philosophy since Nothing Phone 1.
The glyph interface is a collection of LED lights on the rear of the phone that illuminate to show notifications, incoming calls, and battery life. Their pattern can even be altered to produce a personalised illuminating design, and they are matched specifically to each pre-set ringtone.
If the company kills the feature, Nothing phone users who are accustomed to monitoring alerts using the LED set will not be able to do so if they upgrade to Phone 3.
