Nintendo Switch 2 Release Day: Time, Price And Consumer Reaction
The Nintendo Switch 2 comes with a price tag of $449.99 (around Rs 38,500).
The much-anticipated video game console Nintendo Switch 2 has been launched in the United States on Thursday, June 5. The retail pre-orders started in the US on April 24.
According to Nintendo’s official website, the Nintendo Switch 2 has been priced at $449.99 (around Rs 38,500) and the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle comes with a price tag of $499.99 (about Rs 42,855).
Nintendo said that the price of the accessories for Nintendo Switch 2 will see some changes from those announced on April 2 because of the market situation.
According to The Verge, Walmart, GameStop, Best Buy and Target are the major retailers with a limited console stock for the device. They are also offering the Switch 2 Pro Controller, the Switch 2 camera and first-party carrying cases.
Costco, Sam’s Club, Staples, Antonline and Newegg are also expected to offer the console online at some point in the future, according to The Verge.
Nintendo plans an estimated sale of over 15 million Switch 2 units in the current financial year, according to a Reuters report. The pre-order date was originally April 9 in the US, but had to be revised in the face of tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump.

Joy-Con 2 Pair: $94.99 (Rs 8,162).
Joy-Con 2 Charging Grip: $39.99 (Rs 3,436).
Joy-Con 2 Strap: $13.99 (Rs 1,200).
Joy-Con 2 Wheel Set: $24.99 (Rs 2,147).
Nintendo Switch 2 Camera: $54.99 (Rs 4,725).
Nintendo Switch 2 Dock Set: $119.99 (Rs 10,312).
According to Forbes, the Nintendo Switch 2 is backward compatible. It says the design has been upgraded to a 7.9-inch LCD from a 7-inch LCD. It added that the joysticks have less resistance, which makes the gaming experience smoother.
