Poco M7 Plus Launching Soon In India; Price, Specs Leaked

Poco has begun teasing its upcoming smartphone on Flipkart and the brand’s website, indicating an imminent launch in India. Dedicated microsites have been put up, and although the name hasn’t yet been officially announced, a leak indicates it might be called Poco M7 Plus.
The purported Poco M7 Plus will be the successor to Poco M6 Plus. The teaser showcases the smartphone with a pill-shaped camera island and the phrase “Power for All”, implying that the smartphone will potentially house a big battery.

Although the exact launch date is still unknown, a report from 91Mobiles Hindi mentions that the Poco M7 Plus is expected to be unveiled on Aug. 13.

The 91Mobiles Hindi report also suggests that the Poco M7 Plus’ price in India will likely be under Rs 15,000.

The Poco M7 Plus is anticipated to come with enhancements over the Poco M6 Plus. The M7 Plus may be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset and come with a 6.9-inch screen featuring a 144Hz refresh rate.
It is expected to house a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 33W fast charging and reverse charging. Poco saying “we’ve packed larger batteries into sleek, slim designs” in the teaser further indicates that the device will be slim.
In terms of optics, the M7 Plus could get a 50MP main rear camera sensor, along with an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
In comparison, the Poco M6 Plus comes with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE (accelerated edition) processor, 6.79-inch full-HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate, dual rear camera with 108MP main sensor and 2MP macro lens, 13MP front-facing camera, 5,030mAh battery with 33W wired charging support, Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and an IP53 rating for dust and water resistance.
