iPhone SE 4: Price In India, Launch Date, Camera, Design, Storage, And More

The first iPhone from the Apple stable to arrive in 2025 is coming. Rumour mills and leaks have been in overdrive regarding the upcoming SE 4. First of all, it may not even be iPhone SE 4! A branding change could well result in the smartphone being called iPhone 16e. And it may pack some hefty hardware including Apple’s in-house 5G modem, Dynamic Island, and a design reminiscent of the iPhone 14. In short, the iPhone SE 4's new avatar may not look at all like its predecessor, the iPhone SE 3.

There is no official announcement from Apple yet on the iPhone SE 4 launch date. However, according to a recent report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the iPhone SE 4 could be launched around end of April. Soon after its worldwide release, the iPhone SE 4 is anticipated to reach India. 

The iPhone SE 4, aka iPhone 16e, may be priced below $500, Gurman has indicated. Which means the iPhone SE 4 will cost somewhere over Rs. 43,000, if we calculate the global price on strength of a straight currency exchange. But, the final price may well depend on where the phone will be manufactured as taxes will be applicable accordingly. The prices being bandied about are anything between Rs 43000 and Rs 49000. With the Apple tag, high-end features, and a low price point, the iPhone SE 4 could be a formidable rival in the market for mid-range phones.

The iPhone SE 4 could feature Face ID, which will be a first for the SE range. It may be powered by the latest A18 Bionic chip or A17 Pro. That may well transform this affordable Apple iPhone into one of the most powerful and quickest phones in its category. It may be the first to feature an Apple-developed 5G modem, and pack a bigger battery and support for USB Type-C charging, like Apple’s latest phones.

And, hold your horses, it may also sport Apple Intelligence! As a result, users will be able to enjoy AI capabilities like Image Playground, updated Siri, Writing Tools, and more.

Considering iPhones are known for the high quality of images they snap, the iPhone SE 4 will likely feature a single 48MP primary camera. This would be a significant advance over the iPhone SE 2022's 12MP camera. That is not all. A Smart HDR, Night Mode—which was not present in the 2022 model—is likely to be added too.

Apart from likely being called the iPhone 16e, according to an iPhone SE 4 leak, the upcoming smartphone may resemble the iPhone 14 in design with a single rear camera at the top left with LED flash. At least that is what the leaked dummy images suggest.

It may also sport the Dynamic Island feature, an oval shaped space at the top of the screen that displays alerts and notifications, and a much larger 6.1-inch OLED display and full-screen.

A new name is not all that may change. iPhone SE 4 may become beefier. Its storage may get boosted from 4GB to 8GB of RAM, which will be paired with 128GB of storage. This will make the  iPhone SE 4 better suited to handle the latest highly demanding apps and Apple Intelligence.
