iPhone 17 Pro: What’s Cooking For Apple Fans In 2025?
The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are tipped to get a full makeover, from the outside to the inside.

Apple is making some very exciting changes to its 2025 iPhone lineup, and the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are squarely in the spotlight. If leaks and rumours are to be believed, these models are getting a full makeover, from the outside to the inside.
Fresh Look Outside
The design could be one of the biggest changes. Apple might abandon the classic square camera bump in favour of a sleek horizontal bar of cameras on the back of the phone. The lenses will likely sit in the same positions, but the flash and LiDAR sensor may get swapped. Here's a bit of nostalgia: Apple may return to aluminium frames for these Pro models, breaking away from the steel and titanium it has been using lately.
Sharper Cameras, Better Selfies
The Pro models are also said to be updating their telephoto lens from 12MP to 48MP. It could result in sharper zoomed-in shots or even the ability to record videos in 8K. The optical zoom could get a little drop, but the higher resolution should result in cleaner digital zooming. All iPhone 17 versions could come with a 24MP selfie camera on the front, which doubles the detail compared to current models.
Battery Boost & Reverse Charging
You can also expect the iPhone to be slightly thicker, as there's a larger battery inside. That could mean more screen time and even reverse wireless charging — a feature that would permit you to power up your AirPods or Apple Watch from your phone.
Tougher Display And Smarter Chips
It is also said to have a scratch-resistant, anti-reflective display. In addition, the Dynamic Island might actually shrink, allowing users to get more screen to enjoy. The new A19 Pro chip, which could include Apple’s own Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chips, could also technically provide faster, smoother performance under the hood.
