The iPhone 17 Air may sport a pill-shaped horizontal camera design, according to a leak from tipster Sonny Dickson on 'X' (formerly Twitter). The leak is based on iPhone 17 Air's alleged phone cover, showing a distinctive pill-shaped horizontal cutout that looks to be mirroring the design of the recently-launched Google Pixel 9. The leaked case has a horizontal cutout on the top for the device's camera lens and flash, implying the similarity in its design with the Pixel 9 smartphone.

March 19, 2025This follows from similar leaks from tipsters such as Majin Bu who released photos allegedly depicting the various designs of the iPhone 17 series of phones, as well as a photo of dummy models of the same shared by Dickson.
iPhone 17 Air Expected Price And Features
The iPhone 17 Air is rumoured to cost around $899 in the US. The smartphone may have an OLED 6.6 inch display and run on Apple's proprietary A19 Chip. It's main feature is it's notably thin design, having a rumoured thickness of 9.5 mm, including the top camera bar according to the tipster. Without it, the phone may be 5.5 mm in thickness, according to noted apple analyst Ming Chi-Kuo.
The phone is expected to sport a single 48 MP rear camera and a 24 MP front camera to click selfies. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman mentioned that the phone may feature a camera control button in his 'Power-On' Newsletter. This could enable a user to click photos and take videos at the click of a button.
It is also anticipated to have a custom C1 modem. According to leaked images, the camera lens and the flash are at opposite sides of each other.
Other expected features include MagSafe wireless charging and an action button.
The iPhone 17 series is expected to launch in Fall 2025, around the month of September alongside the rest of the iPhone 17 series.
