Hewlett Packard Enterprise has announced expansions of HPE Aruba Networking and HPE GreenLake cloud to help enterprises modernise connectivity and hybrid cloud operations by blending multi-layered and zero trust approaches to protect against threats.

These expansions include new cloud-based access control security capabilities of HPE Aruba Networking Central, which enables enterprise-grade zero trust security by treating users, devices and applications as potential threats until verified.

HPE Private Cloud Enterprise will offer new threat-adaptive security that supports Digital Operations Resilience Act compliance (DORA) and temporarily disconnects from the public internet when network threats are detected. Additionally, new cybersecurity services will help design and implement security strategies for sovereign clouds and AI.

Aruba Networking New Security Features

According to HPE, these are the new security Features from Aruba Networking:

Enhanced Policy Manager for new Network Access Control (NAC) improves precision access policies — such as application-to-role, role-to-subnet, and role-to-role — across the network, enabling consistent security and compliance edge-to-cloud.

Tighter integration between HPE Aruba Networking Central and HPE OpsRamp expands the ability to natively monitor third-party devices from vendors such as Cisco, Arista, and Juniper Networks. New application profiling, classification, and risk assessment abilities give enterprises the ability to establish application access policies based on risk preferences.

EdgeConnect SD-WAN includes new secure access service edge capabilities and new adaptive DDoS defence capabilities, which use machine learning to dynamically adjust DDoS defence mechanisms in real time.

Threat-Adaptive Security For Private Clouds And New Cybersecurity Services

HPE Private Cloud Enterprise will offer new threat-adaptive security that temporarily disconnects from the public internet when network threats are detected. This acts as a “digital circuit breaker” and isolates critical data, operations, and infrastructure, minimising potential impact.

Private Cloud Enterprise with air-gapped management will provide enterprises in regulated industries and government organisations with a cloud management experience on-prem without connecting to an external network, delivered by HPE security-cleared personnel.

New cybersecurity services for sovereign cloud will provide experts who evaluate, adopt, and integrate sovereign security solutions into enterprise risk frameworks. Also, HPE will provide new AI-focused cybersecurity services to help enterprises adopt AI and handle AI-enabled attacks.

HPE will further offer unified observability and real-time threat detection with the general availability of the OpsRamp and CrowdStrike integration.
