- HCLTech partners with Nvidia to develop VisionX 2.0, a multi-modal AI edge platform
- VisionX 2.0 upgrades HCLTech’s existing platform with advanced AI and computer vision
- The platform enhances real-time intelligence and safety in industrial environments
Continuing the trend of big Indian IT companies signing deals with global AI giants, HCLTech has recently joined hands with Nvidia, the world's largest company, to create a multi-modal AI edge platform called VisionX 2.0.
The VisionX 2.0 will be an upgraded model for HCLTech's existing multi-modal AI edge platform and builds on the company's Intelligent Secure Edge Capabilities, the IT major confirmed in an exchange filing on Friday.
What Does The Platform Do?
Through the multi-modal AI edge platform, HCLTech delivers real-time intelligence, enhanced safety and operational efficiency at scale for mission-critical industrial environments.
The new VisionX 2.0 will feature and integrate advanced computer vision, vision language models (VLMs), multi-modal fusion and edge-optimised generative AI.
Through the partnership with Nvidia, HCLTech plans to harness the power of Nvidia's physical AI computing stack, including Nvidia Blueprint for video search and summarisation (VSS), Nvidia DeepStream, Nvidia Cosmos Reason VLM and Nvidia TAO for post-training vision models for unparalleled performance.
“With VisionX 2.0, HCLTech is redefining how intelligence is delivered at the industrial edge,” said Vijay Guntur, CTO and Head of Ecosystems at HCLTech.
“By combining our deep expeĚise in secure edge engineering with NVIDIA AI infrastructure and AI models, we are enabling enterprises to move from reactive monitoring to real-time, trusted decision-making agents, where milliseconds matter," he added.
“The next wave of industrial transformation is being driven by Physical AI—real-time, multimodal intelligence that elevates peęormance, safety, and autonomy across global operations,” said Deepu Talla, vice president, Robotics and Edge AI at NVIDIA.
