Google's 'AI notebook' NotebookLM App Version Is Coming Soon: What We Know So Far
The platform is popular among Google fans for its features such as transforming documents and materials into FAQs, podcasts and more, offering a more interactive experience.

Google's popular digital note-taking tool, NotebookLM's app version is coming soon. The AI-based tool, earlier available in website mode, is expected to offer more convenience to users with the app interface, according to a report by 9to5 Google.
On Tuesday, the X page of NotebookLM confirmed the development. "NotebookLM app is coming soon!" it said, while reacting to another post praising the model's efficiency.
According to 9to5 Google, this move likely refers to a native mobile app for Android and iOS. This is because a desktop version would be unusual for Google, which typically has only a few native clients for Mac, Windows, and Linux.
The platform's current interface features a three-pane redesign optimised for web users. However, the UI is fully resizable, allowing users to adjust the layout according to their preferences. The platform's features are also accessible on phone-sized screens, where the interface adapts to display three top tabs for easy navigation.
Users can also save notebooklm.google.com as a Progressive Web App, which adds an app icon to their home screen. This removes browser elements, such as the address bar, for an optimised app-like experience on smartphone devices.
10/10 post IMO

How To Add notebooklm.google.com On Phone:
For Android devices, users will need to click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner > Add to the Home screen
iOS: Tap Safari's share menu > Add to Home Screen.
To be clear, the PWA is not without its shortcomings. It comes with an issue where the settings gear icon overlaps with the app switcher on the homepage. Moreover, the status bar stays light even in the dark mode option, which can be annoying.
Once the app is unveiled, it will come with the advantage of visibility in the Google Play Store for Android and the iOS App Store.
The experimental AI notebook has received praise from users for its competitive features. The platform can transform study materials into FAQs, podcasts, and more, making studying a more interactive experience.
