Google Pixel 9a Beats Rival Samsung Galaxy A56 In Benchmark Face-Off
Ahead of the launch, Google Pixel 9a has logged impressive AnTuTu and Geekbench scores against rival Samsung Galaxy A56 and this has heightened anticipation for the smartphone.

Google Pixel 9a has outperformed its rival Samsung Galaxy A56 on popular benchmarks, triggering excitement among fans about the performance and other specifications of the new smartphones. Google Pixel 9a is an affordable, mid-range model. Notably, ahead of Google Pixel 9a launch, which has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, 2025 its, it has been revealed that its performance is exceptional.
In fact, Google Pixel 9a AnTuTu and Geekbench scores are quite impressive when it came to a face-off with rival Samsung Galaxy A56. According to a report by Notebookcheck, Pixel 9a scored 1,530 on Geekbench 6's single-core test and a score of 3,344 on the multi-core test. Similarly, its performance on AnTuTu showed a total score of 10,49,844.
Google Pixel 9a is powered by Tensor G4, Google’s custom-built chip, which will offer superior performance compared to the earlier G3. The report added the Korean smartphone leader Samsung's latest mid-range addition scored 1,364 and 3,899 on Geekbench 6's tests, while delivering a composite AnTuTu score of 908,689.
With the power of G4, Google Pixel 9a fans are awaiting improved and faster performance capabilities in the new model. To woo consumers, Google has revealed that G4 is 17% faster at opening apps compared to the Tensor G3.
Earlier, Pixel 9a render leaks had surfaced on social media, showing the purple colour variant of the device. One of the most significant details that caught the attention of the users was the presence of a mini camera bump. Many consumers have criticised huge camera bumps on newer generation smartphones, noting that they ruin the overall design experience. With its minimal camera bump that barely protrudes, the Pixel 9a brings a refreshing design change for users. This can likely be attributed to the reports that Pixel 9a will be thicker than the Pixel 8a version.
This would indicate a bigger room for battery and camera system on the Google Pixel 9a.
At the Mobile World Congress, concluded in Barcelona in the first week of March, Pixel 9 Pro was given the ‘Smartphone of the Year’ award, marking a second consecutive win for the Pixel series. Last year, the Pixel 8 series took home the same award. It ended up trolling rival Apple very badly and you can read all about it in this article: Google Pixel 9 Pro Beat iPhone 16 Pro Today And Google Just Cannot Stay Calm, Trolls Apple.
Google Pixel launch is expected tomorrow and we will soon find out if t6here was much truth in price, camera, chip, display and other predictions. Stay tuned.
