Google Pixel 10 To Feature Faster Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner
The Pixel 10 series will reportedly boast a faster ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, as per a report by Android Headlines. While the source of this improved sensor remains unstated, users can expect quicker, more reliable password-free unlocking, even with wet fingers.
Notably, the Pixel 9 released last year introduced enhanced biometrics as Google transitioned certain models from optical fingerprint scanners to ultrasonic ones. The Pixel 10 will reportedly maintain ultrasonic fingerprint readers, but with improvements over those found in the Pixel 9.
Design, Camera Changes In Google Pixel 10
Another report from Android Authority says that a purported protective case for the Pixel 10 and 10 Pro has surfaced. This case, reportedly obtained from a case maker Thinborne, indicates a design and size that closely resemble last year's Pixel 9 and 9 Pro, but with slightly altered dimensions.
The report indicates that a Pixel 9 Pro almost fits into a case intended for the Pixel 10 and 10 Pro, which suggests their dimensions will be similar. However, the port cutouts on the case do not match with the top and bottom edges of the Pixel 9, and the case somewhat obscures the 5G antenna. According to the report, the bottom design has been completely updated.
The Pixel 10 and 10 Pro are likely to get two speaker cutouts, instead of one, with the SIM tray relocated to the top. Furthermore, there is a gap in the rear camera bar, which suggests a larger camera module on the upcoming series.
