Google's email application and website Gmail went down which lead to many users not being able to read their emails or access their Gmail Inbox.
When trying to access the website users were greeted with a “404. That's an error message” followed by a “The requested URL was not found on this server. That's all we know."
The website was down in most parts of the world, according to the site Down Detector. The areas which were majorly affected were western Europe and eastern part of South America. India too was affected by this outage.
Google said it was aware of the problem and that it would be posting updates as it attempted to fix the issue.
