Apple Arcade To Add Five New Games In May: What The Clash?, With My Buddy, Lego Friends, More

Apple is adding five new games to Apple Arcade on May 1. Among them is What The Clash?, the follow-up to indie developer Triband's critically acclaimed racing comedy game What The Car?, winner of Mobile Game of Year at the 2024 DICE Awards.

These new additions join Arcade's collection of over 200 games. Here's a closer look at the new launches.

This game allows you to play alone or challenge friends to one-on-one battles. In order to make combos like giraffe, toasty archery, sticky tennis, milk the fish, and more, players must unlock modifier cards.

Players compete in tournaments, climb leaderboards or discover new card combinations. The Hand, a cute and flexible hand with legs, can be customised with accessories like gowns, earrings and eye patches, controlled by simple touch controls. 

With My Buddy is for animal lovers, allowing players to form bonds with a range of dogs and cats with unique personality and appearance.

The growth of the pets will be experienced by players, who will care for them and dress them in distinctive attire to showcase their individuality. Players can customise their pet's surroundings and interact with them.

Players race around Heartlake City with the Lego friends and their pets. Users can personalise their vehicles with distinctive colours, decals, tires, toppers and trails, and jump behind the wheel as Aliya, Autumn, Nova, Leo, Liann and other characters. They must avoid obstacles, gather valuables, and finish thrilling objectives to unlock rewards.

In this word search game, players find hidden words on the board while exploring iconic landmarks of the world. Users will learn new words and test their knowledge as they work through levels that are based on a range of topics.

This game immerses players in the world of kawaii matching puzzles, featuring well-known Japanese characters like Rilakkuma and Sumikko Gurashi. The game provides a balance of strategy and enjoyment with its tap-to-match mechanisms, captivating but soothing action, and exquisitely designed maps.

Apple is also making updates to various Arcade games in April, including What The Car? on April 10, Hello Kitty Island Adventure on April 16, and PGA Tour Pro Golf on April 17.
