ICICI Securities Report

Broadcast Audience Research Council has released its viewership data for week-eight of CY21 (February 20-26, 2021).

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd.'s viewership share in Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) primetime has declined 100 basis points QoQ to 17.2% in Q4 FY21-to-date despite completion of KBC-12.

The decline is due to weakening viewership share in its two most popular shows Kumkum Bhagya and Kundali Bhagya, which is disappointing.

Zee TV however has seen rise in viewership share in Telugu and Kannada all-day GEC.

Star Plus continues to see remarkable success in its new shows, which has helped it grab higher share in Hindi GEC primetime.
