Total Container Rail volumes declined by 13% YoY (year to date (YTD) down 16% YoY) during July 2020.
Export Import (Exim) volumes dropped by 12% YoY after reporting down 21%/down 18% YoY growth in previous two months. YTD growth declined by 19.5%.
Domestic segment volumes registered decline of 16% YoY growth after reporting up 3%/down 28% YoY growth in previous two months.
Container volumes for major ports (in twenty-foot equivalent unit (Teu) terms) declined by down 15% YoY in July 2020 (versus approximately down 24%/down 36% YoY in June/May).
Total cargo volumes at major ports (including other commodities) declined 13.2% YoY in July 2020 (versus down 14.5% YoY in June 2020/up 3.4% in July 2019) led by down 24% decline in coal followed by down 22%/down 13% YoY fall in port of loading (POL) /container. Other cargo too declined by 6% YoY.
