Quarterly Results Today: It is going to be a busy day on Dalal Street with over 200 companies upcoming with their Q3 earnings on Friday, Feb. 7. As many as 234 companies are slated to release their financial statement for the quarter and nine months ending December 31, 2024. NHPC Ltd.'s consolidated net profit fell by 37% in the second quarter of the current financial year. The government-owned power company reported a profit of Rs 1,069.3 crore for the September quarter. 

NHPC Q2 Highlights (Consolidated, YoY)  

• Revenue increased 4.1% to Rs 3,051.9 crore vs Rs 2,931.3 crore

• Net profit fell 37% to Rs 1,069.3 crore vs Rs 1,693.3 crore

• Ebitda up 2% to Rs 1,798.8 crore vs Rs 1,768.2 crore

• Margin contracted 140 basis points to 58.9% vs 60.3%

Mahindra & Mahindra reported a 12% increase in revenue for Q2 FY25, reaching Rs 28,919 crore, up from Rs 25,762 crore in the same period last year.

M&M Q2 Highlights (Standalone, YoY) 

• Revenue rose 12% to Rs 28,919 crore vs Rs 25,762 crore 

• Net profit increased 13% to Rs 3,841 crore vs Rs 3,393 crore

• Ebitda up 21% at Rs 5,270 crore vs Rs 4,360 crore

• Ebitda margin widened 130 basis points to 18.2%

Life Insurance Corp. reported a 3.7% year-on-year decline in its consolidated net profit for Q2 FY25, posting Rs 7,729 crore, down from Rs 8,030 crore in the same period last year.

LIC Q2 Highlights (Consolidated, YoY)

• Net premium income up 12% at Rs 1.2 lakh crore vs Rs 1.1 lakh crore

• Net profit down 3.7% at 7,729 crore vs 8,030 crore

• Solvency ratio improved to 1.98% vs 1.9%

• Gross NPA ratio at 1.72%

State Bank of India: State Bank of India, the country's largest lender, reported a remarkable 84% year-on-year increase in its net profit for the October-December quarter at Rs 16,891 crore.

Bharti Airtel: Bharti Airtel saw its consolidated net profit jump more than fourfold sequentially in the third quarter of the current financial year to Rs 14,781.2 crore, up from Rs 3,593.2 crore in the previous quarter.
