Motherson Sumi Wiring India Ltd. reported a 13.85% drop in net profit for the March quarter, totaling Rs 164.93 crore, impacted by rising expenses and raw material costs.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 191.44 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal, according to its regulatory filing.
Total revenue from operations in the fourth quarter reached Rs 2,509.52 crore, up from Rs 2,232.67 crore in the year-ago period.
MSWIL also noted that total expenses for the quarter increased to Rs 2,291.44 crore, compared to Rs 1,986.54 crore in the corresponding period last year. The cost of materials consumed rose to Rs 1,592.7 crore from Rs 1,419.1 crore a year earlier.
For fiscal 2025, the company's profit stood at Rs 605.86 crore, down from Rs 638.3 crore in fiscal 2024.
Total revenue from operations for fiscal 2025 was Rs 9,320.28 crore, compared to Rs 8,328.25 crore in financial year 2024.
