Chalet Hotels Q3 Results: Profit Up 37%, Revenue Rises 23%

Chalet Hotels Ltd. posted a 37% growth in consolidated net profit in the third quarter of the current financial year, but missed analysts' estimates.

The company posted a net profit of Rs 97 crore in the quarter ended December, according to an exchange filing on Wednesday. Analysts tracked by Bloomberg had pegged the profit at Rs 102.3 crore.

Chalet Hotels Q3 Earnings Highlights (Consolidated, YoY)

  • Revenue up 23% to Rs 458 crore versus Rs 374 crore (Estimate: Rs 459.5 crore).

  • Ebitda up 23% to Rs 205 crore versus Rs 166 crore (Estimate: Rs 207 crore).

  • Margin expands 30 basis points to 44.7% versus 44.4% (Estimate: 45.1%).

  • Net profit up 37% to Rs 97 crore versus Rs 71 crore (Estimate: Rs 102.3 crore).

Key Operational Metrics

  • Average daily rates up 18% to Rs 12,944 versus Rs 10,974.

  • Occupancy was at 70% versus 71%.

  • Revenue per available room improved by 16% to Rs 9,090 versus Rs 7,838.

Development Pipeline Updates

  • Hotel inventory expansion at Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield in Q4.

  • Renovation, upgradation and expansion of the Dukes Retreat (65 rooms) in Q1 FY26.

  • Taj at the T3 Terminal Delhi International Airport (385-390 rooms), Hyatt Regency at Airoli, Navi Mumbai (280 rooms) and Cignus Powai Tower II in Mumbai are scheduled for completion in FY27.

  • Renovation of Four Points by Sheraton Navi Mumbai has commenced. Currently, 35 rooms are under renovation and not available for sale.

  • New leisure hotel in Goa scheduled for commencement during FY28.

Shares of Chalet Hotels closed 4.71% higher at Rs 762.95 apiece on the BSE, compared to a 0.83% advance in the benchmark Sensex.
