Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the new parliament building and installed a historic sceptre ‘Sengol' near the Lok Sabha Speaker's chair. A puja and a multi-faith prayer were held on the occasion. He also unveiled a commemorative plaque for the new building. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Adheenam seers were present at the event. The seers handed over the ‘Sengol' to PM Modi who walked into the new Parliament building and installed it.
