(Bloomberg) -- Vietnam's 15-day social distancing order that requires people to mostly stay at home may be extended beyond April 15 if new novel coronavirus outbreaks occur, according to a post on the government's website, which cited Mai Tien Dung, head of the government office.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Monday ordered ministries and local governments to prepare for a second wave of the virus that has hit other countries.
The government is weighing easing, gradually removing or continuing the order after April 15 depending on the situation of the pandemic, Dung was cited in a response to questions from the media.
The country has 251 coronavirus cases through April 8, including 126 patients who have recovered, according to the health ministry's website.
