(Bloomberg) -- The European Commission raised its forecast for Spanish economic growth in 2019, saying strong momentum in the first half of the year will see output increase 2.3% -- up from 2.1% previously. The EU executive arm said that domestic demand, and in particular consumption, will be the main driver for growth going forward. Next year's GDP prediction was left unchanged at 1.9%.
