Spain's economy is cooling rapidly: Job creation has slowed, tourist numbers are stalling and the global economy is faltering. Spain is likely to face several significant external and domestic challenges going into next year, at a time when the labor market is already showing signs of running out of steam. A deterioration in consumer sentiment, in a context of heightened political uncertainty and given the very low households saving rate, could quickly lead consumers to scale back their spending, according to Bloomberg Economics.
