(Bloomberg) -- You can be the owner of a desert hideaway that Frank Sinatra built above the Coachella Valley, Palm Desert and Palm Springs, California -- and now at a lower price.
The three-building, 6,428-square-foot (597-square-meter) spread that Sinatra developed in 1970 and named Villa Maggio after his character in “From Here to Eternity” has been on the market at various times since 2004, when it was listed at $4.95 million. The mid-century lodge-style estate was last up for sale almost a year ago, at $3.9 million, with surrounding land not included when previously offered for $3.95 million. This time “we've aligned ourselves with the market,” said listing agent Markus Canter of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. The new price: $3.695 million.
