(Bloomberg) -- South African President Cyril Ramaphosa announced a 500 billion-rand ($25.3 billion) economic and social support package in a speech broadcast on national television Tuesday.
The coronavirus pandemic requires an economic response equal to the scale of the disruption it's causing, Ramaphosa said.
