Ever since he tweeted, in early August, that he was taking Tesla private and that funding was "secured," there's been an intense debate about what he meant by that. Throughout the last few weeks, people have been devouring the columns written by Bloomberg Opinion writer Matt Levine, who himself has a background in law and deal-making.
