(Bloomberg) -- Marathon Partners Equity Management LLC reported a 5.2% holding in Elf Beauty Inc., according to a new 13D filing with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission. The stake is equivalent to $32.4 million.
According to the filing, Marathon Partners has engaged and continues to engage with Elf Beauty's management and the Board on opportunities to enhance shareholder value.
Shares of Elf Beauty have declined 5.5% in the past year, compared with the 3.5% drop in the Standard & Poor's 500 Index. The Oakland, California-based consumer staples company has a market cap of $623 million.
