(Bloomberg) -- Laura Ashley confirmed that no bid has been received for the company.
- “As far as I am concerned, there is no takeover bid because there has been no approach whatsoever," said Chairman Andrew Khoo in an emailed statement
- Says the board will discharge its duties and assess any approach, if made, on its relative merits
- Believes company will be able to grow profitably and in a sustainable manner
