(Bloomberg) -- The owner of the Jdate and Christian Mingle dating websites was ordered to pay up to $985,000 in restitution to users whose subscriptions were automatically renewed or who were denied refunds.
Spark Networks USA LLC, the sites' owner, was fined $500,000 in penalties as part of a negotiated resolution, according to a statement Monday by the Los Angeles district attorney's office.
