(Bloomberg) -- The iPhone's average selling price remained above $700 for the third straight quarter, coming in at $724. Why does this matter to Apple Inc.? If that price had been the same as it was at this point in 2017, the company's total revenue would have increased 6.5 percent in its fiscal third quarter. Instead, revenue rose by more than 17 percent.
