(Bloomberg) -- Brush fires raged in central and southern Israel as temperatures soared, causing communities to be evacuated and a major road to Jerusalem closed.
A general draft was implemented of all firefighters, including those on vacation, Army Radio reported. Some homes in one community in central Israel were burned, it said. At least six communities in central Israel were evacuated, police said.
