California’s Riverside Metro Has Largest Five-Year Jobs Gain

(Bloomberg) -- Among cities with a population of at least one million in the last Census, the Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario metro area in California had the largest increase (22 percent) in jobs from August 2013 to August 2018. Riverside was followed on this five-year list by Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford, FL (21.4 percent); Austin-Round Rock, TX (20.6 percent); Las Vegas-Henderson-Paradise, NV (19.0 percent); Charlotte-Concord-Gastonia, NC-SC (18.2 percent).

Pittsburgh, PA had the smallest growth in employment (2.2 percent), followed by Virginia Beach-Norfolk-Newport News, VA-NC (3.8 percent) and Rochester, NY (3.9 percent.)
