(Bloomberg) -- A raft of countries reported gross domestic product figures for the first quarter in recent weeks and the picture for advanced economies is clear -- growth hit the skids at the start of the year. But rather than a sign that the global expansion is running out of steam, the slowdown seems to be explained by bad weather and local idiosyncrasies, according to Bloomberg Economics. A rebound in the second quarter looks likely.
