The father of the accused from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and is being brought to Pune.

Pune Police will seek a high court's approval to try a 17-year-old accused as an adult in a hit-and-run case in the city following a public outrage. The teenager was allegedly drunk at the time of the accident, which claimed two lives, according to the police.
Meanwhile, police has arrested the father of the accused from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. He will be brought to Pune and will be arrested in the case registered against him in the matter.
The youngster's father, a real estate developer, has been charged with sections of Juvenile Justice Act related to willful neglect of a child, or exposing a child to mental or physical illnesses, and supplying a child with intoxicating liquor or drugs.
The incident took place on early Sunday morning, when a speeding luxury car rammed into a motorcycle around 3:15 a.m. at Kalyani Nagar Junction in Pune. The riders, Anis Awadhiya and Ashwini Costa, succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
A case has been registered against the underage driver of the car under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including culpable homicide not amounting to murder and rash driving, and provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
The Juvenile Justice Board granted the youngster bail on the same day, drawing criticism. It also directed him to visit the Regional Transport Office, study all the rules and regulations, and submit a 300-word essay on the topic of road accidents and their solutions within 15 days.
The board also ordered the accused to assist RTO officers for 15 days and submit a report. The board recommended referring him to an alcohol de-addiction centre for counselling.
Police had moved an application before the Juvenile Justice Board seeking permission to try the juvenile as an adult and send him to an observation home, but the plea was rejected. Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said they are now approaching the Sessions Court with the same plea.
While the blood report of the youngster is awaited, a preliminary probe shows that he was drunk. Police have also registered a case against the accused's father and the bar that served him alcohol.
