An all-party parliamentary delegation led by Congress leader Shashi Tharoor arrived in Washington to engage with US officials, lawmakers, think tanks, and policy experts.
The delegation aims to brief them on Operation Sindoor, the terrorism challenges faced by India, and regional security concerns.
The delegation, which landed in the US capital on Tuesday, has a packed schedule of meetings and engagements until Thursday. The multi-party group will be interacting with members of the US Congress, American think tanks, and media professionals to convey India's strong stance against terrorism and highlight Pakistan's involvement in terrorist activities.

Shashi Tharoor, chairperson of the Standing Committee on External Affairs, is leading the group. The team includes Sarfaraz Ahmad (JMM), Ganti Harish Madhur Balayogi (TDP), Shashank Mani Tripathi (BJP), Bhubaneswar Kalita (BJP), Milind Deora (Shiv Sena), Tejasvi Surya (BJP), and India's former Ambassador to the US, Taranjit Sandhu.
The delegation's journey began in New York on May 24, followed by visits to Guyana, Panama, Colombia, and Brazil, before arriving in Washington for the final leg of their tour. During their interactions in the US, the delegation will emphasise India's determination to combat terrorism and the need for international cooperation.
Speaking to PTI, delegation member Milind Deora stated that the group in the US, as well as those visiting other regions and countries, is telling the world that India has had enough. The group's efforts are part of a broader diplomatic outreach to garner global support against terrorism.
