Good News For Mumaikars - City To Get Relief From Hot And Humid Conditions From April 10

According to the latest IMD weather forecast shared at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, coastal districts of Maharashtra, including Mumbai will experience dry weather until April 13.

Mumbaikars are soon expected to get mild relief from the continuous hot and humid conditions prevailing in the city since the last few days. The India Meteorological Department said on Wednesday that the hot and humid weather will begin to ease starting April 10. However, the city will continue to experience dry weather.

According to the latest IMD weather forecast shared at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, coastal districts of Maharashtra, including Mumbai will experience dry weather until April 13. A yellow alert is in place in Mumbai for Wednesday, triggering a heat alert due to intense hot weather. 

Maximum Temperature In Mumbai On Tuesday

On Tuesday, Mumbai-Santacruz recorded a maximum temperature of 34.6°C, which is 1.3°C above the normal, the IMD said. The minimum temperature was 26.5°C, departing from the normal by 2.9°C.

Mumbai Weather Update

At 2 p.m. on Wednesday, the IMD issued a press release, stating that for the next 24 hours, Mumbai may expect mainly clear skies in the city and suburbs.

Moreover, hot and humid conditions are very likely to prevail in suburbs. "The maximum and minimum temperatures (for next 24 hours) are likely to be around 35 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius," the weather body noted.

Mumbai Weather Forecast For Next Five Days

With easing of hot and humid conditions over the next few days, Mumbai can expect a decline in maximum and minimum temperatures. According to IMD’s forecast, the temperature in Mumbai will hover in the range of 22 degrees Celsius to 34 degrees Celsius, before intensifying again from April 14 onwards.

Besides Mumbai, coastal districts of Palghar, Ratnagiri, Raigad, Dhule, and Thane, among others, will also experience dry weather starting Thursday. The IMD predicted a possibility of light rain or thundershowers for Sindhudurg.

Warm Night Expected In Pune Today

Meanwhile, certain Maharashtra districts such as Ahilyanagar and Pune are on a yellow alert today, anticipating warm night conditions. Jalna, Beed, and Amravati may also experience similar weather at night.

Some other districts such as Latur, Akola, Hingoli, Sholapur, Chandrapur, among others, may experience light rain showers, the IMD said.
