Mumbai Rains LIVE Updates: Tulsi Lake Overflows; IMD Expects Heavy To Very Heavy Rainfall To Persist

The Indian Meteorological Department has issued orange alerts for Mumbai and Thane and Red Alerts for Palghar and Raigad for the next couple of days.

In next four days, Odisha will receive heavy downpour in next four days due to formation of low pressure, IMD said.

Mumbai's primary source of water supply Tulsi Lake overflowed as the city and adjacent received heavy rainfall. The lake started overflowing at 6:45 a.m. Saturday.

While Western India deals with heavy rains, Indian Meteorological Department has noticed an upper air cyclonic circulation is laying over Bay of Bengal. Under its influence, a low pressure area will form in next 12 hours, and in 24 hours it will concentrate into a depression.

The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted heavy downpour in Mahrashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Konkan region, and Telangana on Sunday.
