Mumbai Rains Live Updates: IMD Issues Yellow Alert For City, Suburbs And Thane As Downpour Settles

Deadly downpour in Himachal Pradesh disrupted every day life in Himachal Pradesh by triggering landslides, blocking 471 roads, and forcing the closure of educational institutions on Monday.

The state's meteorological department has issued a 'red' alert for very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in five of the 12 districts of the state, including Shimla, Kangra, Chamba, Sirmaur and Mandi.

As the downpour settles IMD has changed its warning from orange to yellow for Mumbai Suburban, Mumbai City and Surrounding Thane district. Meanwhile Surrounding areas like Raigad and Ratnagiri are still in the moderate to heavy rainfall zone.

Heavy downpour in parts of Jammu & Kashmir's Udhampur has resulted in waterlogging in several areas.

The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a orange alert for Mumbai Suburban, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and Kolhapur on Monday.

IMD predicts heavy to very heavy rainfall likely at isolated places over Konkan & Goa, Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra during July 21 to 27.

Heavy rainfall to continue over Marathawada on July 21. Gujarat State to receive on July 21, 26 & 27, said IMD.
