IndiGo Cancels Flights Services At Chennai Airport Due To Adverse Weather Condition

IndiGo has cancelled all flights from and to Chennai International Airport Ltd. noticing adverse weather condition as cyclonic storm Fengal advances toward coastline. The commercial flight operator is monitoring the situation in Chennai closely, InterGlobe Avitation Ltd. said in a post on X.
IndiGo will keep providing timely updates. It urged passengers to check flight status in a link link provided in the post.

Suburban railway in Chennai suspended services between Chennai Beach and Velachery from 12:15 p.m. onwards. The Southern Railway authority cited Strong winds with velocities ranging between 65–73 kilometre per hour as reason for its suspension in a post on X.

Heavy rains with gusty winds lashed several parts of the northern Tamil Nadu on Saturday. It affected daily operations as the Fengal advances to make landfall near Puducherry, PTI reported. The cyclonic storm is scheduled to make a landfall on Saturday.
The Indian Meteorological Department forecasted heavy rainfall for three more days in the state starting from Nov 27 as a deep depression developed into a cyclonic storm named, Fengal.
