Check Traffic Restrictions Issued By Delhi Police For Republic Day Parade Rehearsals
The traffic advisory has been issued from Jan 17-21. Check affected routes and diversions for uninterrupted movement during these days.
Republic Day Parade Rehearsals: Delhi Police has made special traffic arrangements to facilitate the uninterrupted movement of Republic Day parade rehearsals on Kartavya Path, an advisory said on Wednesday.
The special arrangements have been made for January 17, 18, 20, and 21, PTI reported.
Republic Day Parade Rehearsals: List of Affected Routes
According to the advisory issued by Delhi Traffic Police, traffic restrictions would be put in place for Kartavyapath- Rafi Marg crossing, Kartavyapath- Janpath crossing, Kartavypath- Mansingh Road crossing, and Kartavyapath- C- Hexagon from 10.15 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. on the above mentioned dates.
Republic Day Parade Rehearsals: Diversions
People going from north Delhi to south Delhi and vice versa can take Ring Road, Sarai Kale Khan, I.P. Flyover, Rajghat, Lajpat Ral Marg, Mathura Road, Bhairon Road, Ring Road, Aurobindo Marg, Safdarjung Road, Kamal Attaturk Marg, Kautilaya Marg, it said.
For people travelling from east to southwest Delhi, Ring Road can take the Vande Matram Marg.
Motorists coming to Vinay Marg, Shanti Path or going to New Delhi and beyond should take Sardar Patel Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, roundabout RML, Baba Kharak Singh Marg or Park Street - Mandir Marg and proceed further to North Delhi or New Delhi, the advisory added.
Republic Day 2025: Day, Time And Theme
India will celebrate its 76th Republic Day on Sunday, Jan. 26 and all eyes will be on the majestic Republic Day parade at Kartavya Path when it begins at 10 a.m.
This year’s theme is ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas’ (Golden India: Heritage and Development). This year, the parade will showcase military poise with contingents of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force showcasing their acumen. The event will end with the much-anticipated flypast by the Indian Air Force.
