We have set up Friends and Families Assistance Centres at Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi and London Gatwick for the next kin of our passengers and crew members, said Campbell Wilson, CEO & MD, Air India on a video statement on Friday.

"These centres are facilitating their travel to Ahmedabad and providing them full support," he further said.

Campbell Wilson, CEO & MD, Air India confirms 241 deaths on a video statement on Friday.

"All of us at Air India are devasted at the loss and in grief of those affected grieve for those affected, their families and their loved ones. Air India's advanced teams of 100 caregivers and 40 engineering staff has now arrived in Ahmedabad," he further said.

"The technical team is now helping at the site and our caregivers are providing support to families. Many more caregivers are travelling to Ahmedabad to provide further support," he said.


Ahmedabad Plane Crash Update: Setting Up Response Centre For Families, Says British High Commissioner To India

"My priority here at the British Deputy High Commission in Ahmedabad is to make sure that British nationals and their families have the support they need, and that's why we've got a 24/7 hotline for people and their families to reach out. We're also setting up a response centre for families to be able to access support," British High Commissioner to India Lindy Cameron told PTI.
