Top 10 Most-Valued Firms Gain Rs 1.28 Lakh Crore In Market Cap

The top 10 most-valued firms gained a cumulative Rs 1.28 lakh crore in market valuation on Thursday, with Bharti Airtel Ltd., Reliance Industries Ltd. and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. emerging as the biggest gainers.

Bharti Airtel's market capitalisation rose by Rs 38,076.64 crore to Rs 9.7 lakh crore, while that of RIL increased by Rs 28,485.64 crore to Rs 17.16 lakh crore. TCS's market cap surged by Rs 21,491.44 crore to Rs 12.86 lakh crore.

HDFC Bank Ltd. gained Rs 17,207.37 crore, taking its market cap to Rs 13.51 lakh crore, whereas Infosys Ltd.'s market cap soared by Rs 9,342.61 crore to Rs 6.68 lakh crore.

Bajaj Finance Ltd. was the sole loser among the top 10 firms, and ended the trading session by shedding Rs 3,194.02 crore, taking its market cap to Rs 5.37 lakh crore.

RIL retained its position as the most-valued firm, followed by HDFC Bank, TCS, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank Ltd., Infosys, State Bank of India, Bajaj Finance, Hindustan Unilever Ltd. and ITC Ltd.

Indian equities posted their fourth consecutive day of gains on Thursday on positive global cues, as the US Federal Reserve signalled two more interest rate cuts later this year despite the threat of tariff-triggered inflation.

Benchmark indices ended at their highest level in over a month. The NSE Nifty 50 closed 1.24% or 283 points higher at 23,190.65, while BSE Sensex added nearly 900 points, or 1.2% to end at 76,348.06.
