Stock Market Today: All You Need To Know Going Into Trade On June 22

Equities were mixed in Asia on Wednesday amid warnings about the risk of an economic downturn.

Shares rose in Japan and Australia but fell in South Korea. The US futures declined after the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 jumped over 2% on Tuesday.

As of 6:28 am, the Singapore-traded SGX Nifty -- an early barometer of India's benchmark Nifty 50 -- was 0.49% higher at 15,698.50 points.

Elsewhere, the yen hovered near 24-year lows against the dollar, due to the dichotomy that is the monetary policy of Bank of Japan and the US Federal Reserve. Crude oil retreated further below $110 a barrel. Bitcoin hovered around $20,000.

• Biocon: The company has denied allegations of bribery in drug approval process. That, after PTI reported, citing officials, that the CBI apprehended Joint Drugs Controller S Eswara Reddy for allegedly receiving Rs 4-lakh bribe.

• Hero MotoCorp: The company has introduced Euro-V complaint Xpulse 200 4V motorcycle and Dash 110 and Dash 125 scooters in Turkey.

• Jain Irrigation: Jain International Trading BV, a wholly owned subsidiary, has agreed to merge its business with Rivulis Pte.

• SAIL: The company appointed Anil Kumar Tulsani as director (finance).

• Coal India: Adani Enterprises and 10 other companies, including offshore firms, have expressed interest in bidding for coal import tenders floated by India's biggest miner.

• Chambal Fertilizers & Chemicals: Promoter Zuari Global Limited created a pledge of 23.5 lakh shares between June 15 and June 16.

• Sun Pharma Advanced Research: Promoter Group Raksha Valia created a pledge of 4.3 lakh shares on June 20.

• Nava Bharat Ventures: Promoter Groups P Trivikrama Prasad bought 512 shares, P. Rajashree bought 2,344 shares, D. Bhakta Priya bought 910 shares, AV Dwellings bought 26,233 shares, SRT Investments bought 144 shares, P. Trivikrama Prasad (HUF) bought 270 shares and V9 Avenues bought 5,020 shares on June 20 each.

• Gati: Promoter Group Bunny Investments and Finance sold 2,500 shares on June 16.

• Man Infraconstruction: Promoter & Director Parag K. Shah bought 89,371 shares on June 20.

• India Pesticides: Promoter Anand Swarup Agarwal bought 1 lakh shares on June 20.

• KCP: Promoter Dr. VL Indira Dutt bought 20,000 shares on June 17 and Promoter Group Dr. Subbarao Vallabhaneni bought 35,870 shares between June 14 and June 16.

• Shriram City Union Finance: Promoter Group Shriram Value Services bought 59,102 shares between June 16 and June 17.

• Eureka Forbes: Forbes Campbell Finance sold 10 lakh (0.51%) shares and 'Forbes and Company' bought 10 lakh (0.51%) shares at 293.45 apiece.

• Ansal Housing: Housing Development Finance Corporation sold 4.35 lakh (0.73%) shares at Rs 7.04 apiece.
