The NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex ended higher, tracking a rise in ICICI Bank and Bajaj Finance. The Nifty 50 rose for eitght sessions in a row and marked the longest winning streak since Sept 3, 2024. The Sensex has risen for five sessions. Bajaj Finance has hit a record high. The NSE Nifty Defence emerged as the outperformer as Bharat Electronics and Hindustan Aeronauctis Ltd. led. Hindustan Copper share price surged 13%.

Nifty 50|Sensex| Stock Market LIVE: Hindustan Copper Share Price Jumps 13%
Hindustan Copper Ltd. share price jumped 13.61% to 281.98 apiece, the highest level since July 4. It was trading 12.64% higher at Rs 281.61 apiece. The company has planned Rs 2,000 crore capital expenditure in next five-to-six years.
Hindustan Copper will acquire copper deposit in India and abroad.

AstraZeneca Pharma received notice from National Pharma Pricing Authority. The company got notice from NPPA regarding alleged overcharging of inhalation powder.
