Route Mobile Shuffles Key Managerial Personnel's Roles
The move to re-designate Rajdipkumar Gupta will allow him to focus on leveraging Proximus Global's strengths 'to accelerate the growth trajectory for Route Mobile'.

Route Mobile Ltd.'s board of directors re-designated Rajdipkumar Gupta as the managing director on Tuesday after "ceding" the role of the group chief executive officer. It has also appointed Gautam Badalia as the CEO, according to an exchange filing.
The board approved the recommendations of its nomination and remuneration committee at a meeting. Gupta will continue to be considered as a key managerial personnel, the cloud communication platform provider said.
The move will allow Gupta to focus on leveraging Proximus Global's strengths in terms of global reach and product diversity "to accelerate the growth trajectory for Route Mobile" as well as for the group, the filing stated.
Gupta is "well-poised to drive such initiatives" because of his deep domain expertise across the entire value chain that includes enterprises, telcos, as well as with the system integrators or partners, it said.
As the CEO, Badalia will be responsible for the overall operations, including driving strategic initiatives to accelerate the growth and profitability. He will continue to work closely with Gupta to convert the group's initiatives "into beneficial, tangible outcomes for Route Mobile", according to the filing.
Badalia's extensive experience in the communications platform as a service sector and his rich experience in strategy and corporate finance will "render more comprehensiveness to the management team". The result will be a "more focused approach" to take the company into its next phase of sustainable and profitable growth, Route Mobile said.
On Tuesday, the board had also approved two other appointments. It has designated Milind Pathak as the chief corporate marketing officer. Vinay Binyala, who will oversee the strategic affairs across operations and new business initiatives for the company, has been appointed as the chief strategy officer.
Shares of Route Mobile closed 0.21% lower at Rs 1,429.85 apiece on the BSE, compared to a 1.3% decline in the benchmark Sensex.
