Nifty Top Gainers, Losers On April 1: From HCL Tech, Bajaj Finserv To Trent

The NSE Nifty 50 ended 353 points or 1.50% lower at 23,165 and BSE Sensex fell 1.80% or 1,390.41 points down at 76,024.51.

HCL Technologies Ltd. and Bharat Electronic Ltd. were among the top losers on the NSE Nifty 50 on Tuesday, while IndusInd Bank Ltd. and Trent Ltd. advanced the most.

India's benchmark stock indices ended lower. The NSE Nifty 50 ended 353 points or 1.50% lower at 23,165 and BSE Sensex fell 1.80% or 1,390.41 points down at 76,024.51.

The share price of HCL Tech declined the most, falling 4.17% down at Rs 1,585 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. The second-worst performer was Bharat Electronics Ltd. as it fell 3.76% to trade at Rs 290 apiece.

Bajaj Finserv Ltd., HDFC Bank Ltd. and Bajaj Finance Ltd. were also among the top losers.

IndusInd Bank Ltd. gained 6.15% to Rs 689.80 apiece, followed by Trent Ltd. which gained 5.44%.

In terms of sectoral performance, all 10 sectors except for one ended the day with losses, one sector ended flat.

Nifty Media was the only sector that ended with gains, as it surged 1.95%, meanwhile Nifty Oil and Gas ended flat at 0.02%. Nifty Realty declined the most as it fell 3.02%, followed by Nifty IT and Nifty Finance.

The Nifty and Sensex ended lower for the day, marking their second consecutive day of decline. HCL Tech and Bharat Electronics were the top losers in the Nifty.

Nifty Realty emerged as the top sectoral loser, dragged down by Godrej Properties and Prestige Estates.

The Nifty Midcap 150 and Nifty Smallcap 250 also ended lower, with Voltas, IPCA Labs, UCO Bank, and Suven Pharma leading the declines. Both indices closed lower for the second consecutive day.

Additionally, Nifty Financial Services and FMCG snapped their two-day gaining streak, while Nifty Bank, Metals, and PSU Bank continued their downward trend for the second day in a row.
