Nifty Top Gainers And Losers On March 20: From HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel To RIL And More
HDFC Bank Ltd. contributed the most, accounting for 41.3 points of gain in the benchmark.

Indian equities posted their fourth consecutive day of gains on Thursday after the US Federal Reserve held their interest rates steady.
The NSE Nifty 50 closed 1.24%, or 283 points higher at 23,190.65, while BSE Sensex added nearly 900 points, or 1.2% to end at 76,348.
Coming to the top gainers that led the index, HDFC Bank Ltd. contributed the most, accounting for 41.3 points of gain in the benchmark. Also contributing nearly the same gains were Bharti Airtel, posting a 41.09 point gain in trade. Tech stocks like Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. and Infosys Ltd. supported with over 10 point contribution.
The top laggards of the index was Bajaj Finance Ltd., dragging the index by over two points, along with IndusInd Bank Ltd. that accounted for a 1.03 point drag in the benchmark. Trent Ltd. and Shriram Finance Ltd. also pulled the index down by less than a point each.

The Nifty's close above 23,000 mark comes after 22 sessions. The last close over the 23,000 ceiling was on Feb. 14. The benchmark also ended in green for the fourth day in a row.
Nifty Smallcap 250 ended higher for the fourth day in a row. The Nifty ended higher by 1.2% for the day, led by Bharti Airtel, Titan and Britannia Industries. The Sensex also ended higher by 1.2% for the day.
Nifty Midcap 150 closed 0.5% higher for the day and was led by Bharat Forge, Max Healthcare, Phoenix Mills. The Nifty Smallcap 250 ended 0.8% higher for the day, led by Rajesh Exports, SCI and SPARC.
Nifty Oil and Gas is the top sectoral gainer for the day, the sector is led by GSPL, MGL and HPCL. Nifty Oil and Gas, Metal, Pharma and Financial sector ended higher for the fourth day in a row.
Nifty Auto, Realty, PSU Banks ended in the green for the third day in a row. Nifty Bank ended higher for the sixth day in a row as well.
